Welcome to the Moreton Dental Care 'latest news' section, where we will post regular updates from our dental practice, our charity work and developments in the dentistry world.
Delighted patient Marie Stacey has described her new smile as “little short of miraculous” and says she hasn’t stopped grinning since the completion of her dental implant treatment at the practice.
Marie, 69, a former assistant director of children’s services with Wirral Education Authority, was unstinting in her praise for “the amazing level of kindness, expertise and care” shown to her by Moreton Dental Care staff who have enabled her to smile again without feeling self-conscious.
As part of Marie’s treatment Dr Paul Sherrard placed two dental implants to secure a three-unit bridge.
Marie described Dr Sherrard’s skills as “exceptional”. and added: “The level of professional care I have experienced here has been of a quality I have never had before.”
“I cannot remember a time since childhood when I haven’t felt self-conscious about my teeth. Not any longer. They are worth every penny, and actually there is a real delight in no longer being anxious about photos.”
Marie recalled how as a post-war child and the 10th of 11 children there was little time to care for her teeth. “We all ate sweets like there was no tomorrow and dentists were regarded with terror,”she said.
“I have managed to smile without opening my mouth for years, but now I feel completely confident. When I look at the photos of my original teeth these new teeth are little short of miraculous,” she added.
Said Dr Sherrard: “Marie has been a delight to treat, and we are all thrilled she is so pleased with the result. We are also very grateful for her very kind words about our team. That means a great deal to us.”
